Are you passionate about personal finances? Do you want to support your fellow students and develop skills such as public speaking?

If so, then you might be our next Financial Capability Champion. This is a new and exciting role that supports the Student Financial Support Service with promoting money management skills to all students.

This role will support and co-create financial skills workshops, both online and in-person, providing content for marketing campaigns and assisting with national awareness activities, such as Unibattle and National Student Money Week.

Start and end date: Monday 25 September 2023 – Friday 24 May 2024
Working hours: Flexible hours to fit around your studies. You should be prepared to work a few hours every month.
Pay rate: £11.04 per hour plus holiday pay
Location: A mixture of working from home and some travel required to all campuses – City, Clifton, Brackenhurst, and Mansfield.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the Financial Capability Project Officer with information and awareness campaigns, such as National Student Money Week and Unibattle. This includes in-person promotional stands, promotional material, and informing students about the services we offer.
  • Co-presenting workshops which are in person or virtual.
  • Creating marketing content for students which will be used on various channels.
  • Offering lived experiences of finances and money.
  • Working with other Financial Capability Champions to create new content and activities for workshops.
