NTU are Varsity Ice Hockey Champions 2025

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) secured a stunning 7-5 victory over the University of Nottingham (UoN) in a high-intensity Varsity Ice Hockey clash at the Motorpoint Arena on Monday 10 February 2025.

In front of a sold out crowd of approximately 7,000 fans, both teams came out strong, trading early goals in a hotly contested first period that ended level at 2-2.

The second period saw NTU step up the pressure, delivering a flurry of goals to take control of the game and ending the second period with a two goal lead, making it 6-4 going into the final 20 minutes.

The final period was closely fought again, with just one more goal for each side, meaning NTU came out on top in an unforgettable night.
