NTU's green campuses recognised with prestigious Green Flag Award

Whether you're taking a break between lectures, meeting friends outdoors or enjoying a walk across campus, NTU's green spaces have once again been recognised among the very best in the UK.
We're proud to share that City, Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses have all achieved Green Flag Award status for 2026, recognising the quality, management and environmental value of our green spaces.
This year marks an exciting milestone, with Clifton Campus and Brackenhurst Campus retaining their Green Flag Awards for an impressive 15th consecutive year, while City Campus has received the award for the second year running.
The Green Flag Award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces, recognising sites that are welcoming, well-managed, accessible and environmentally sustainable.
From colourful gardens and peaceful woodland walks to wildlife habitats and open green spaces, our campuses are designed to be places where you can study, relax, connect with nature and support your wellbeing.
The award also reflects NTU's ongoing commitment to sustainability and biodiversity, with continued work to protect habitats, encourage wildlife and create greener spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Brackenhurst Campus continues to be a welcoming, well-maintained, attractive and biodiverse site with a committed and enthusiastic management team and some excellent community involvement and partnerships, and is well worthy of retaining its Green Flag status.
