Competitions and challenges
At Nottingham Business School, we offer students the opportunity to participate in exciting business challenges that allow them to put their business skills to the test. This provides students with the chance to work on their consultancy skills, whilst giving local and national businesses a chance to support their growth. Our students work in groups on business issues submitted from a range of companies, providing recommendations and solutions to their specific organisational challenges. It is a great opportunity to develop transferable skills through hands-on problem solving and a chance to network with industry.
NBS Bright
NBS Bright is an innovative NBS business challenge designed to help businesses of all sizes to prosper. Our students offer a fresh perspective to help with a range of challenges, for example, how to build your brand and become more responsive to customer demands and market volatility, how to capitalise on your success, grow your profits, cut your cost base or streamline your operations.
Thinkubator
The Thinkubator Challenge is a ground-breaking event that provides local and national businesses with access to free expertise to help support their growth. The event involves staff and students from across the School, working as consultancy groups on the business issues submitted by a range of companies. Each team is allocated one challenge and has three hours to research, analyse and evaluate the problem, before preparing and finalising their recommendations and solutions.
University Business Challenge
We are proud to have seen huge success when participating in the Universities Business Challenge and Global Masters Challenge. This is the longest established and most recognised stimulation-based competitive challenge for undergraduates and postgraduates designed to develop employability and enterprise skills.
