3D printing creates objects one layer at a time.

It can be quicker that traditional prototyping, allowing you to create complex parts in plastic and metal right in front of you in one step.

Tutor Profile: Mark Beeston is a senior technician in the model making workshop at Nottingham Trent University.

He has over 20 years of experience within the creative industries as an independent designer, artist, maker and facilitator in areas such as sculpture, furniture, product research and development, theatre, film and outdoor play.
