Photography for Fashion e-Commerce

Photography for Fashion e-Commerce
  • Level(s) of study: Short course
  • Study mode(s): Part-time (weekend)
  • Location: City Campus
  • Starting: 3 November 2018
  • Course duration: Two Saturdays

This course is all about making fashion products look great online.

You might be working in a marketing department or own a small fashion business and want to improve your point of sale.

You might be new to photography, thinking about your career progression and have little knowledge of what techniques really sell fashion.

If so, this course will teach you how to work effectively and create maximum impact with your products.

On this unique two-day course you’ll start by looking at the trends in fashion product photography, and how photographers are deviating from the norm to reflect the values of a fashion brand.

You’ll then spend the day in the photography studio, working on flats and in 3D to create images that reflect the quality of your products and their materials.

To keep the course relevant, you’ll be asked to bring a small sample of your garments, plus accessories, and work on your ideas whilst sharing your ideas with others.

The second day will be using software on the Mac to edit your images.

The ideal attendee will have the basic knowledge of how to use their digital camera’s manual setting.

What will I gain?

You’ll leave this course with a set of great visuals that sell your products, and the knowledge of how to adapt and build on your skills to deliver great photographs in the future.

You will also know how to correct and retouch your images and save them in a variety of formats.
