During the course you’ll learn how to talk about basic personal details, daily routines, existence of people and things, and to learn how to engage in shopping conversation.

At the end of the course, you’ll have some elementary appreciation of Japanese grammar and structures and you’ll be able to give basic information about yourself, your daily schedule, and to communicate in shopping situations.

You will be able to ask where something or someone is, and how many.

Japanese stage 2

This course is suitable for beginner learners of Japanese with some knowledge of the language, equivalent to stage 1 (for example GCSE grade B or C).

During the course you’ll learn how to talk about your family members, town, holidays, hobbies, to give compliments and give directions.

At the end of the course, you’ll have deepened your appreciation of Japanese grammar and structures at an elementary level, and you’ll be able to make an appointment and comment on events using the past tense of adjectives.

Japanese stage 3

Japanese stage 3 is the right stage for you if you’ve successfully completed Japanese stage 2 or equivalent (e.g. GCSE grade A).

During the course you’ll study topics relating for example to the eating outdoors, seasons and weather, business trips, and staying healthy.

At the end of the course, you’ll be able to express your future plans, talk about your involvement in the culture of another country, and about how you keep yourself healthy.
