Would you like to share your writing with an audience, but don’t know where to start?

This course gives you the chance to find and use your voice, taking the first step from being a private to public writer.

The course provides an enjoyable and supportive environment to explore projection, pace, tone and body language, developing the skills and confidence you need to read or perform your work in public.

What will I gain?

By the end of the course you’ll have the confidence to share your work in public.

This course might also inspire you to pursue other writing courses.

What you'll study

On this course you will:

  • explore vocal training and drama techniques for presentations
  • gain skills in breath control, pace, tone and projection
  • analyse different prose and poems prior to reading
  • work in pairs and as a group to practice
  • take part in a group reading at the end of the day.

This course is ideal for writers who wish to read their work in public, or for anyone who gives presentations who wants to improve their technique.
