The thriller genre is amongst one of the most popular genres sought out by today’s readers.

With so many subgenres, such as crime, espionage, supernatural, mystery, there is a subgenre to capture almost any taste.

What’s more, more and more authors are being able to make a profitable income from thrillers in today’s market, including the tutor of this course, Rick Wood.

If you have a spark for creative writing, maybe an idea or aspiration of creating your own enthralling thriller novel, this is your opportunity to learn from an established author with the aim of giving you the skills to turn your initial idea into a well-written, accomplished piece of work you can be proud of.

The course will guide you through the development, planning and writing stages of crafting your novel.

As well as developing your writing skills, you will also learn what you can do with your novel once you’ve finished.

What will I gain?

By the end of the course, you will know how to develop your idea and how to apply various writing skills in coming up with your book.

You will also learn what to do with your novel once it’s done.

This is a course where you will learn from a bestselling author’s mistakes, and share in his experiences of what has made him an author with a loyal fan base.

Tutor profile: Rick Wood was once an English and Drama teacher, but he found himself able to achieve his lifelong dream in July 2018 when he gave up teaching to become a full-time author, just two years after publishing his first book.

To date, Rick has published twenty-four novels, mostly falling within the thriller and horror genres.

This includes five bestsellers across the United Kingdom, United States and Canada, and across the Amazon and Kobo platforms.

In this time, Rick has also achieved an MA in Creative Writing.
