What you'll study
This course is highly practical and provides a strong grounding in computing fundamentals. It gives you a comprehensive understanding of database systems, e-commerce, business information systems and Internet technologies. Practical skills developed will include involvement in multimedia and virtual reality projects.
On completion of the foundation degree you will be eligible to top-up to degree level study in Computing.
This course is subject to validation.
What are we looking for?
- A-levels – DDE, including grade D in a Science, Maths or Computing subject; or
- BTEC Extended Diploma – MPP, including relevant Science, Maths or Computing modules at Merit level; or
- 64 UCAS points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications, including grade D in a Science, Maths or Computing subject; and
- GCSE – Maths and English grade C / 4

Fees and funding
To celebrate the launch of our courses in Mansfield, we are offering a Mansfield Scholarship Award to all students enrolling on a Nottingham Trent University Foundation Degree course starting in the 2020/21 academic year. The award will be for £925 per year and will be offset against the course fee on enrolment.
