Learning a language at NTU isn't all about formal classes. Make the most of the opportunity to develop your language skills through self-study at our excellent multimedia Language Resource Centres. Pop in to read the latest foreign-language news, watch a film or TV programme, build your skills with a few language exercises, or browse our audio-visual material.

What resources are available?
Based in the DiCE building on our City campus, the Language centre provide you with a multimedia environment where you can develop your language skills. Pop in to read the latest foreign-language news, watch a film or TV programme, build your skills with a few language exercises, or browse our audiovisual material.
The resources available include:
- PCs for individual learning and quiet study spaces
- high quality audiovisual materials
- an extensive library of the latest foreign-language films
- computer-aided language learning software
- foreign-language books, newspapers, magazines and other materials.
Learn a language with the University Language Programme (ULP)
ULP at NTU provides a range of language courses to students, staff and members of the public. Take the opportunity to learn a new language or improve existing language skills for free*.
* NTU students pay a deposit which is refunded on completion of the course
