More about Alice
“The BSc (Hons) Equestrian Psychology and Sports Science covers a wide range of subjects from rider psychology and equine learning theories to equine anatomy and physiology. It gives a well-rounded education and expands your knowledge in many aspects of the equine industry.
“I have enjoyed doing my dissertation most of all as it allowed me to choose my own area of interest and put in to practice skills and information I’ve developed and learned in all my other modules. Developing my own data collection and writing a paper has been hugely educational for me and I have enjoyed it immensely.
“If you’re interested in the science behind the horse and developing your academic skills and knowledge this is the course for you.
“The tutors are varied, meaning there is always someone available that is on the same page as you. Tutors are very approachable to talk about not only academic issues but also university and home life. They are always very easy to contact, and organise meetings with.
“I feel I settled in very quickly, and the campus was very welcoming and inclusive of all kinds of students whether you’re living in or commuting.
“When I graduate I intend to undertake a postgraduate course (MRes) to continue my dissertation research. I haven’t decided on a specific career as I feel university has opened up so many doors I don’t feel ready to commit fully to any of them yet.”
