More about Chloe

“I have always been interested in food and how it is manufactured and the processes that go on before the product can be on sale to the public. I decided to come to Nottingham Trent University as the facilities available and the modules which are taught on the course really interested me.

“I like the combination of the scientific lectures and practical work, the skills of which I can use in my day to day job at KP Snacks. I enjoy working and doing day release learning as I am learning more about the business and getting first-hand experience on how everything works.

“The course combines both scientific knowledge such as microbiology with hands on practical experience like manufacturing products, which can be demonstrated in the pilot plant on site. The modules cover every area of the food industry and all the different aspects of a manufacturing environment.

“All the modules link together and can be taken back to the work place. Lecturers also have shared a lot of their own knowledge and experiences of working in the food industry, which has been really beneficial for my learning.”
