“I really enjoyed the Spain fieldtrip as it allowed me to put what I’ve recently learnt in lectures into practise in a real life setting. It also helped everyone get to know each other as we did a lot of group work."
More about Laura
“I am in my first year studying Geography which has been very enjoyable already. The course consists of both physical and human modules as well as a fieldwork module which allows you to go to Spain for a week and means you get a hands on experience.
“The way in which we are assessed also varies from scrapbooks to podcasts, virtual fieldtrips and a few exams. This allows people who have specific strengths to have a better opportunity.
“I really enjoyed the Spain fieldtrip as it allowed me to put what I’ve recently learnt in lectures into practise in a real life setting. It also helped everyone get to know each other as we did a lot of group work. I have also really enjoyed the Global Change module which takes physical aspects of Geography and puts a human spin on it.
“There are a variety of modules on this course which means there is at least one which is your favourite. It combines social aspects, such as the Spain Fieldtrip, with a wide range of assessment methods to make sure you don’t feel stuck with lots of exams or reports to write.
“You learn a lot of skills on the course which can be transferable to lots of career paths such as computer skills, presentation skills and group work which is needed in most jobs.”
