More about Samantha
“BSc (Hons) Environmental Science at NTU covers a wide range of disciplines. Exposure to this range has provided me with a skill set that is desirable to employers.
“The serene countryside surrounding Brackenhurst serves as an outdoor laboratory for scientific research. Indoor laboratories here are also well equipped for carrying out research within the environmental sciences.
“You’ll also be given the opportunity to explore current global issues such as climate change and the sustainable management of natural resources.
“My course tutor has always supported me in applying for internships and has provided me with invaluable advice throughout my academic career at NTU. The staff are very approachable and always have your best interests at heart.
“Nottingham is not far from my hometown, therefore travel to and from is made easy. I liked the option of being able to live in the city and study in a rural area. The city is full of nightclubs, restaurants and shops which compliments student life.
“When I graduate I would like to follow a research-based career path in Ecology. I would also like to further my study of the subject at Masters and Doctorate level as I enjoy its interdisciplinary nature and relevance to global issues.
“The course will set you on the right track for a career in Environmental Science.”
