All the course tutors are very friendly and helpful! The fact that all of our tutors are either veterinary nurses or surgeons means that you’re learning from the people who have hands on experience in your field of work so they understand things more in depth.
More about Sammie
“I have always wanted to study veterinary nursing since finishing my GCSEs. I chose to study my course at NTU due to their outstanding facilities as well as having nice, refurbished accommodation. Also, with NTU winning so many awards recently, I believed it to be the university where I would thrive the most.
“I enjoy doing the practical modules the most, learning about how to physically treat a sick animal and how to make them feel better. I also enjoy learning about the anatomy of the animals I will encounter in practice and learning about how their body works in certain situations.
“All the course tutors are very friendly and helpful! The fact that all of our tutors are either veterinary nurses or surgeons means that you’re learning from the people who have hands on experience in your field of work so they understand things more in depth. Also they come with some amazing stories of cases they have encountered themselves.
“I enjoy being a student at NTU. There are loads of things to do both at Brackenhurst Campus and also across the other two campuses in Clifton and City. All of the students are so kind and welcoming when you first start, it’s like belonging to a huge extended family at Brack.
“I am part of the Nottingham Trent Tigers Cheerleading Team, and among their Level 2 competitive team who travel around England competing in various university national championships.
“This course is very single-career directed - to get a job as a qualified veterinary nurse. All the practical skills you learn are directly transferable to the job, but are also transferable to other jobs due to the professionalism and communication skills learned.”
