More about Brian
Brian Kamau Kiambigi is currently studying BSc Product Design at Nottingham Trent University. He recently studied abroad for a semester as part of the Exchange Programme in Barcelona.
Brian shares his experience of traveling abroad whilst studying at NTU:
Where did you travel to and what did you experience?
I travelled to the city of Vilanova i la Geltrú in Barcelona to experience and explore a different culture. I was interested in learning Spanish and exploring employability opportunities for future reference. As part of my experience studying abroad, I discovered different cultures, languages and the opportunity to network. I would like to take the opportunity again to study abroad with NTU.
Do you think that you have developed transferrable skills that could help you apply for future jobs and careers?
Yes, definitely I have improved my presentation skills, which is important as a product designer. I have also worked a lot on design with Arduino programming which might widen my job scope in future.
How did you find out about studying abroad at NTU?
I found out about my study abroad options through my university course leaders, the study abroad website and other students on my course who have done the same.
If you had to recommend travelling to a future student, what would you say?
It is a great opportunity and would recommend taking advantage of it!
Describe your time abroad in three words:
Educational, Exciting, Brilliant
