More about Faisal
Faisal graduated from the University in 2014. He found out about the course from NTU representative Rishi Pokar at the World Education Fair in Mumbai, having previously attended the Dr JJ Magdum College of Engineering in India. He now works as an assistant planner for a leading international construction company, John Sisk and Son Ltd, in Birmingham, UK.
Tell us about your current job
"I currently work with tender teams on major projects and assist with coordination of their input into planning matters. Most of my time is spent in finding alternatives to deliver the best possible value, keeping a strong emphasis on performance, quality, teamwork and hands-on management approach to ensure client satisfaction.
Do you think your time at NTU helped you to pursue this career?
"I feel my time at NTU has definitely helped to prepare me for this. The course was designed to meet the current construction industry needs and was confirmed through its accreditation from professional bodies such as the RICS and CIOB. Also, I was elected as a postgraduate student officer and student ambassador for the University. These roles helped me develop my leadership skills and were a great addition to my CV.

"Getting expert advice on my dissertation from leading construction industry professionals was overwhelming.
