“NTU is amazing. It has everything you need for your personal learning and development. The city also provides you with the other side of university life. There a good balance for work and play.

What do you think of the course staff?
“The staff are really passionate about design and it really helps being in that kind of environment especially when you a tackling design problems. The enthusiasm which they have comes across and makes the whole processes easier to navigate; Jim Dale is a prime example of this.
How did you spend your placement year?
“During my placement year I was fortunate enough to work for two separate companies. The first was in the Netherlands working for an Artist called Nacho Carbonell creating art pieces and learning a variety of heavier design processes. The second was based in London for the interior design firm Lee Broom where I was involved with product development and an exhibition in Milan.
What advice would you give to prospective students?
“Make sure that you’re passionate about design, as the duration of the course and placement year will test you. Also don’t be afraid of change its likely that you will start with an idea of what you want to do after University but come towards the end it will be different.”
