More about Luke
“I came to NTU because of the brilliant reputation it has, and knew as soon as I began to see the architecture of the buildings, such as Arkwright and Newton, that the University was right for me. I feel like the interesting aesthetic of the buildings express how NTU is truly trying to produce new thinkers, which pushed me to apply.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
“I truly enjoy the freedom of the course, It’s really nice to be finding my interests as a designer, and having the ability to try creating different things other than physical products, whether that be an app, software, or scheme.
“The enthusiasm, and kindness that all of the staff have shown towards the class has been key in creating the relaxed, but hard working learning environment we have on the course. They have shown an invested interest in everyone’s work, and constantly push us to think differently.
How do you find the facilities at NTU?
“The facilities at NTU are clearly industry standard, and truly give students the ability to experience what the industry may be like in the future. Additionally, because the majority of the facilities are offered to everyone, It’s easy to access them, so tweaking a project or editing a product at any time is possible.
Are you involved in any societies?
“I am involved in the music society at NTU, and have had the luxury of performing at a number of different gigs / venues / shows, which has allowed me to showcase my Spoken Word / Alternative Hip Hop music. The open mic nights that the society have held have also been vital for me, and allowed me to be noticed by promoters, which lead onto opportunities such as playing at ‘Rough Trade’, and ‘Spanky Van Dykes’.”
