What do you enjoy most about your course at NTU?
“I love the diverse community that make up the student body on campus. There are so many people from different towns, states, and even countries! On top of this, each person sports a myriad of interests, classes, and work experience. Students are very ambitious at this campus, which allows you to surround yourself with people who strive to be the very best at whatever they apply themselves to. Ultimately this pushes you to challenge what you know, defend what you believe in, and in the end, make you a better person.
What made you choose to study your postgraduate degree at NTU?
“The facilities here for my subject are second to none and I liked the approach this university takes to my course. The academic staff have excellent industry backgrounds in their fields which is an advantage to the education system in the institute because they are able to provide significant insights into real industry needs.
“The industrial experience is a critical attribute in preparing postgraduate students for the real world. I think the course staff on my course are excellent. They help us in achieving the highest which we are capable of and keep pushing until we succeed.
Tell us a bit about your major project.
“The construction industry is something very critical area which directly relates to country’s economy. Lots of people are being involved in research for the latest technology to ease the process of construction industry. One of the latest technology is building information modelling (BIM) which has a greater impact on quantity surveyors role. My research topic is how BIM will have the future impact on quantity surveyors role, and if there is any negative impact then how can we overcome it?
In a nutshell, why would you recommend your course to prospective students?
“MSc Quantity Surveying at NTU will provide you with amazing opportunities constantly throughout the year. It isn’t about making the individual into a great surveyor, it’s about who they are as an individual and what’s their destiny is. Destiny is not a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice and it is not a thing to be waited for it is something to be achieved.
