More about Danielle
"What particularly appealed to me, was the option to study something my parents would love to see me pursue and at the same time learn something I am passionate about.
"The beauty of this degree is, that it is limitless, filled with teachers that show you endless opportunities, and activities and societies that allow you to express yourself.
"The academic staff within our faculty are incredibly enthusiastic when it comes to their modules, teachings and questions related to taught topics. When we need help with a particular topic we can use their office hours and the faculty itself provides us with academic support sessions every week.
"The University provides a lot of PCs, not only in the library but we also have access to Macs, which I prefer. The technology used in all facilities makes it easier to have presentation and the network system gives every student more mobility to carry files and documents around.
"One of the most valuable things at this University has to be the diversity. There is no way you will feel excluded or not welcomed, because there is a sports club or society for everyone. Several services for students, like the wellbeing room allow you to grab some free food between lectures, you can go into the modern sports facilities to get some energy out of your system or come into the Students Union, enjoy some quality time with course mates and relief stress from lectures, seminars and assessments.
"I'm involved in a lot of volunteering opportunities and societies. I express my creativity as the Marketing and Media Secretary of the Volleyball Club, the Vice-President of the Ultimate Frisbee Club and as a NTU Sports Media Volunteer. I am also trying to be a voice for fellow students as a Residence Assistant, Student Ambassador and Course Rep.
"I also participated in Global Week representing Austria and the Philippines. Getting to know new people from other parts of the world and free food is always amazing!
"One of my greatest achievement as a student in general, is that I have not given up yet and I'm not planning on doing so. Staying focused and determined will hopefully allow me to become the best version of myself that I can be.
"My advice to others would be don't choose a degree because it sounds alright. Find the shoe that fits you! Not the one that is comfortable, but rather one that dares you to get out of your comfort zone and achieve greater things! Surround yourself with amazing people, make the best out of your stay at University and never stop educating yourself!"
