Thesis Title: The Templars in Bologna

Giampiero is a PhD student in the School of Arts and Humanities. Giampiero's research project will study the presence of the Templar Order in Bologna, Italy. This objective will be reached through extensive archival research and a small archaeological excavation in the medieval Templar Commandery of Bologna.

The archival work will also analyse the political presence of Templars in Bologna both regarding the wide Templar Order and the political government of the city.
