More about Helen

“After completing my A-levels I headed straight to university to study BA (Hons) Joint History full-time at NTU. I found the course through UCAS and after looking at the University website, decided to put it as one of my choices.

“Attending an Open Event at Clifton campus made me sure I wanted to come to NTU. The welcome talk, guided tours and subject information really helped me to picture myself at the University, and I subsequently made it my first choice.

“Studying History and Politics initially appealed to me because I did not have to choose between my two favourite subjects, and could study both. There are a range of modules to choose from with the majority of areas being covered over the three years. This means that you gain a vast range of knowledge, as well as learning skills which can be used throughout your degree.

“Overall, I recommend this course as being one which is flexible, enjoyable and challenging. It will provide you with skills which are useful in the real world, and does so in a supportive environment. With regards to the university experience as a whole, it is a great time to experience independence away from home, explore a new place and make new friends.”
