"I had a gap year in Sydney for six months which was an important turning point for me. I then decided I would like to continue my education in an English speaking environment. I believed that the MA Media and Globalisation course at Nottingham Trent University would give me better job opportunities and the opportunity to work with people with diverse cultural backgrounds. It turns out I made the right decision!

Whilst studying for my MA, I volunteered to be a student ambassador working at my local primary school. Working alongside co-workers helped me to improve my team working skills. I have also worked for the international office; making telephone calls to international students and a week’s work experience. This has helped me to advance my project work, communication and marketing skills and made me more confident .

I live at Clifton campus which is 30 minutes away from the city centre. The peaceful surroundings and huge green areas make me feel really at home since my hometown is a small village with similar conditions and atmosphere to Clifton. There are a lot of sport activities and international food festivals in Clifton. Overseas students never feel lonely and have lots of chances to make new friends."
