More about Kam
"Studying at Nottingham Trent University was a fantastic time in my life. There was an amazingly supportive environment there and the course inspired me to follow my dream of working in the media industry.
"The work experience I gained was crucial in providing me with opportunities to build contacts and get the experience needed to go into the field of creative events. Also, all my tutors were amazing people and you have to use them – they are there to help, support and guide you.
"I’m now a regional programmer at BAFTA, responsible for the events and screenings programme across England. Working in partnership with regional screen agencies, festivals and other organisations, I produce film, TV and videogames events and screenings for a very diverse and growing audience.
"Before joining BAFTA, I spent two years at Channel 4. That was a unique and extraordinary place to work; you really felt like you were part of something special.
"Working with so many talented, creative and lovely people is such a joy. I often have to pinch myself!"
