More about Yating
"I studied media as an undergraduate student for four years in Hubei, China. I wanted to broaden my horizons and sharpen my professional skills in media so I decided to study abroad. I chose the UK for its historical culture and world-renowned reputation in education.
"The MA Media and Globalisation course at NTU stood out due to the positive feedback from other students. NTU has provided fabulous learning facilities and resources.
"I did a Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (PEAP) course and it was really useful and strengthened my English. When I first arrived I made friends and enjoyed parties with other students on the PEAP course.
"The most interesting person I have met since being at NTU is my language teacher Christine McCall she is strict with us but all of us like her very much, she dedicates herself to her job and helped us a lot. I will miss her so much when I back to China.
"I enjoyed the Nottingham Chinese Spring Festival Celebration, that is an important event for all Chinese people in Nottingham. When I go back home I will miss the beautiful landscapes and the comfortable weather in Nottingham.
"I think one of the best things about living in Nottingham is that it is located in the middle of the UK and has many rail lines in many directions. There are also good live music venues, I saw Jessie J in concert, her music is really good and exciting.
"My advice for other international students is to enjoy your time at NTU, you will not be disappointed!"
