More about Akshay
"I heard about NBS from friends and a Study Fair in New Delhi, India. The option of starting my studies in January influenced my decision to undertake postgraduate study at Nottingham Business School (NBS).
"When choosing my course, what I considered important was the option to complete work-based learning through a Consultancy Project and also the International Scholarship Scheme the University offers. The Applied Consultancy Project stood out for me as it wasn't offered anywhere else I applied.
"Nottingham Business School has excellent ranking within the UK and worldwide, and the summer school opportunities with partner universities in incredible.
"I have definitely benefited from the University’s links abroad as I had the opportunity to represent the University in a Summer School in Portugal (ISCTE).
"The facilities that I love include the NTU smartcard which holds money and printing credit to be used in the library for my assignment printing. Also, the 24-hour library service gives us freedom to work at our own convenience and comfort.
"The staff at NBS are really approachable and we get the opportunity to have our own personal tutors. The tutors guide you throughout your time at NBS, to hone your skills and understanding. The student support staff like the librarians are very friendly and always respond to queries and provide specialist information if needed to help you complete your work and assignments.
"I find NOW very useful as I use it for my lecture notes, drop box submissions, study materials, timetable and to get access to other learning resources.
"My greatest achievement at NBS is being the Course Representative for MSc Management, also having the opportunity to represent NTU at its partner university in Portugal (ISCTE Summer School).
"Nottingham is a student friendly city with NBS situated right in the city centre. A very friendly and supportive staff with modern facilities. NBS encourages students to participate in various entrepreneurial activities and also gives opportunities to represent the University in various European summer schools, which I was lucky to be a part of."
