It was great to build my network a lot more and the support from the staff was really valuable. They were always available to answer questions and offer advice.
More about Andrew
“I chose to do the Enterprise Project (Year Two Unique Opportunities) because I came to university with the intention of starting my own business while I was studying and continuing into it full time upon graduation. I applied for the study abroad programme and was accepted to go and study at Utah State for the second half of my second year but when the opportunity to take part in the Enterprise Project in The Hive came about, I knew it was the right decision for me. I learned the process of how to develop a business idea and the stages you need to go through in order to complete a business plan and prepare to launch the business. I know the process that I have learned will be something that I will repeat numerous times in my life with various businesses.
“I have enjoyed discussing the barriers to entry for entrepreneurs because I came to University with the intention of breaking down these barriers and easing myself into a business venture. I feel much more equipped to start my own venture and manage its growth into a successful business as a result of the modules in the first half of the year and taking part in the HeadStart programme with The Hive
“The environment is very professional, well laid out and eye catching. But once you go deeper there is a wealth of opportunities and resources that are readily available if you are ready and willing to take advantage of them. This year I have been involved in many extra-curricular events put on by the Business School from studying in Dijon to taking part in the National Apprentice Challenge.
“I think that learning about entrepreneurship and what sort of challenges you face is something that I am going to appreciate many times over my career. Learning about the challenges entrepreneurs face and how you can overcome them will definitely help me be successful.
“It was great to build my network a lot more and the support from the staff was really valuable. They were always available to answer questions and offer advice.
“I would really recommend this course if you are passionate about innovative ideas and fast growth companies. There are loads of new ideas on how to improve businesses and challenge the status quo of business management and decision-making.”
