Thesis Title: Financial Stability of the Banking System in China
I am a PhD student in the Nottingham business School. My study aims to develop a framework for macro stress testing of China’s banking system. This research examines the determinants of non-performing loan ratio (NPLR) and the relationship between NPLR and macro economic dynamics.
Based on these findings, the study adopts stress-testing techniques to forecast the financial stability position of the banking system in China.
Furthermore, an early warning system is designed for regulators to implement efficient ex ante credit risk management.
