More about Ceyda
"I am originally a psychology student from Turkey and I travelled to the UK to study MSc Management at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). I chose NTU because of the quality of education available here and to get exposure to another culture while improving my English.
"I feel NTU was the right choice for me because my course allows me to really further my career prospects. For example I get to use all the skills I learn in the classroom in real life through a consultancy project which I really enjoyed and found very useful.
"My favourite thing so far has been the teaching style at the University, particularly the MSc Management course leader; Adrian Castell. I have never experienced the kind of teaching style Adrian uses and it is particularly attractive to me. For example, students can easily ask questions and discuss their ideas with teachers and it is a lot more friendly than where I have studied in the past.
"The best thing about Nottingham is that it is a 'student city' and there is plenty of green countryside in the surrounding areas. Also, my student accommodation is great and in a central location close to my classes. The worst thing about Nottingham is the weather!
"If you are coming to NTU from Turkey, I would recommend bringing some home food for comfort as well as making sure you have plenty of ways to keep in touch with friends from home. I would also say to do some research on English customs and traditions before you arrive to help you fit in – for example, strangers here will say 'Hello' to you on the street which would never happen in Turkey."
