“I chose NBS due to its impressive position in the University League Tables for business and management courses. When I visited NBS on an open day, I loved the campus, the staff were incredibly friendly and the course sounded great as it also offered the opportunity to complete an industrial placement.

“I’ve loved my course and enjoyed every moment of it, it’s been a great learning experience for me. I wasn’t expecting the course to cover as much as it has and by doing so, it’s provided me with such a wealth of knowledge which will undoubtedly help me in my future career prospects. The best aspect about studying at NBS is how knowledgeable and approachable the lecturers are, they clearly have a passion for what they are teaching and they ensure all students understand the modules.

“During my time at NBS I’ve been involved in the Thinkubator Challenge, the Nottingham Trent Students’ Union (NTSU) Events Team for the environmental department and have been a student ambassador. I’ve also attended several workshops including a Digital Marketing Workshop.

“NBS is fantastic for providing support in every area; tutors provide clear feedback in all summative and formative assignments and personal tutors are always there to speak to if you require further guidance or support. They’re really encouraging and motivating as they want you to achieve your full potential.

“The Employability Team are conveniently located in Newton and they provide extensive guidance and advice on how to develop your CV and cover letter for placements and graduate schemes. By attending a renowned university with an impressive reputation, it looks great on your CV. I’ve developed a wealth of knowledge throughout my academic studies which I have applied in my placement year and will also apply in my future career.

“My only advice to students is to participate in as many activities and projects as you can whilst you’re at NBS, make the most of your time here! The time flies quicker than you think and you’ll never get experiences like them ever again!”
