More about Kara Leigh
After graduating Nottingham I took a full time role with Barclays within the Research development team as a Research Analyst. There, I was able to build a sound knowledge of the FinTech landscape and ideation to create new revenue opportunities. I then became a Proposition Manager within the R&D team, taking research and formalising that into a marketable product. After which I joined Information Business and started to manage information based products, making data valuable for customers. My current role within Information Business, involves defining and delivering the strategic development of Barclays’ cashback proposition.
A typical day at the Barclays office would start with meetings to progress work with functional teams, running workshops with technical teams to develop and build and would also include stakeholder management across the business, to report progress and evangelise the vision.
The highlight throughout my career would have to be delivering the most successful Black Friday Campaign with the cashback product. In November 2016 the campaign that I produced with the implementation help our marketing team, delivered a 181% increase in transactions and produced the highest performing month on record for transaction volumes.
