More about Katherine

My name is Katherine Fagg and I’m currently in my first year studying BA (Hons) Economics at NTU.

I travelled to Timisoara as part of the Creative and SMART Cities Challenge. I really enjoyed the experience, which provided a plethora of opportunities to network and experience new cultures through the universities and socially through the activities programmes. It has definitely benefited my career prospects as I have many unique opportunities to draw on and discuss with potential employers.

Studying abroad was the most exciting and unique opportunity I will probably experience at NTU. As part of the Creative and SMART Cities Challenge, I made new friends at NTU and abroad and travelled to places I would never have thought to. I also had the chance to network with experienced professionals in business here and abroad and made a significant contribution to the project put forward by Nottingham City Council and NTU within my group.

I have learnt so many skills in leadership, teamwork and problem solving as part of this trip and therefore would I would recommend studying abroad to friends.

There are too many positives to be taken away from studying abroad with NTU to name. The trip was organised tremendously well and everything felt seamless, efficient and well planned.
