More about Leila
"I previously studied my BA (Hons) degree at Nottingham Trent University and it was my first choice University to come back to.
"I was new to the area of human resources and decided that I needed to gain some background knowledge and skills in order to support my experience and development in the workplace.
"I enjoyed the lectures – they were useful and the knowledge I gained could easily be applied in my workplace. The mixture of learning styles (lectures, discussions, presentations, practical) really supported my learning and made the topics easier to understand and apply. This also helped to really make the modules interesting and helped to develop positive relationships with my fellow students.
"Studying for the CHRP has increased my knowledge of HR; in particular employee relations, recruitment, performance management. The assignments, presentations and practical assessments really helped to enhance my skills and the ability to practice with my fellow students before carrying out in real life (e.g. interviews, performance appraisals etc). All of this has increased my confidence and ability to perform well in my role. It has also helped to build a good reputation with managers and directors in my organisation as they all know that I am now an Associate member of the CIPD.
"I am coming back to Nottingham Trent this year in September/October 2015 to study for Postgraduate Diploma in HRM".
