More about Ricky
“The best aspect about studying at NBS is the openness and friendliness of the teaching staff. They are very approachable and will take time out of their busy schedule to sit down and help you with any course related issues you are having.
“My course is a very integrated one. We are regularly encouraged to work as teams and rather than just having lectures and seminars, the lecturers do an amazing job in putting together sessions which are both enjoyable and fun to be part of. It has far surpassed my expectations and that is solely down to how the teaching staff have delivered the content and created a friendly working relationship with our cohort.
“NBS are great in terms of the extra-curricular activities they offer, which have included workshops to enhance your CV and networking events. One of the stand out events for me was the Thinkubator Challenge, which was a brilliant opportunity to meet and work with other students from different courses in NBS that you wouldn’t necessarily encounter on a daily basis.
“I think the Employability Team is one of the best support features in NBS. They give excellent advice on improving your CV, preparing for interviews, and also offer one to one sessions. They had a massive part to play in helping me to find a placement during the second year of my course when I was struggling to find one. They do an outstanding job in terms of providing support, advice and guidance.
“Nottingham is a great city for students, particularly for nightlife! There’s such a wide range of things to do and being a small, compact city it is near enough impossible to get lost. It’s a really vibrant city, and has become a home away from home for me, which has been one of the contributing factors for me to stay and work here after graduating.
“My advice to any students considering studying at NBS is “Go for it!” – NBS is only going to get better over time in the support, advice, guidance, and facilities they already provide. If you are looking to study at a place where you want a culture that gives a feel of togetherness and friendly teaching staff, then NBS is certainly the place for you!”
