More about Abdi
"I decided to study at Nottingham Business School after attending an open day. I was impressed by not only the knowledge of the lecturers, but also the way they incorporated their research and prior work experience in their field into the lectures. This decision was also shaped by the high employment rate of NTU graduates and recommendations from alumni.
"I wanted to study a course that I could mould to my needs and interests and BA (Hons) Business Management and Marketing did exactly that. The course enabled me to learn from practitioners in e-commerce, marketing and accounting with a variety of students reflecting the more globalised work place in the real world and I am convinced that this has made me a more employable graduate as a result.
"Nottingham Business School is set apart from its competitors by the energy of the faculty, the variety and enthusiasm of the students and the focus on producing quality graduates. If you are looking for a business school that will equip you with the theory as well as the practical skills to thrive in the work place then Nottingham Business School is definitely where you want to be. The courses are very well organised, staff are friendly and more than happy to help and willing to stay after lectures to talk to students about careers, projects and examinations.
"Nottingham Business School also has a dedicated Employability Team who assisted me in my search for jobs and provided useful career advice.
"Nottingham is well known for its student night life which, as part of the Trent Army, I definitely enjoyed. I enjoyed participating in a number of societies, meeting people I would never have met anywhere else.
"I’m now working as a Junior Account Manager at an agency in Nottingham. Having already worked on a number of projects ranging from press advertisements to online banners and radio adverts I intend to expand my marketing knowledge and network which should enable me to take on more responsibility within my current role. Hopefully within the next two years I will advance from my current position to an Account Manager.
"If I had to some up Nottingham Business School in three words I'd say Awesome. Surprising. Demanding."
