More about Grace
"I applied to NTU because of its great reputation and employability rate. What attracted me to the BA (Hons) Business course was that it allowed me to get a good grasp of all aspects of business, rather than specialising in specific elements, such as Marketing or Human Resources.
"I found all my modules to be useful because a lot of the theory applies to real-life business situations. I thoroughly enjoyed all my modules and I found the tutors on my course to be extremely helpful. Indeed, in my second year, one tutor was willing to give up some time every week to help me with work which I didn't understand, which was a great support.
"I've definitely benefited from Nottingham Business School's links with industry because I found a job within two months of finishing my course! Before I started at NTU, I had never had a paid job, but I am now working as a Finance Assistant using much of what I learnt on my course in my current role. This includes cash flow reports, balance sheets and income statements, as well as elements of services marketing. The main highlight for me so far has been getting promoted to a full-time position from what was originally a part-time post as well as my employer offering to fund my studies to certify as an accountant!
"The facilities at NTU are state of the art and accessible, which certainly helped me during my course. The library was great, because if I couldn't find a book, I could reserve it through the library’s online system. I also found NOW, the University's online workspace, to be extremely helpful, as lecture notes, seminar work and updates from tutors were always easily available.
"I feel that I've grown personally as well as academically at NTU. I am a lot more mature now compared to when I was studying for my A-levels and I have gained a greater understanding of what work and business are really like!"
