More about Lisa
"During this course I have enjoyed learning about how the country operates. I now understand the news, what the economic crisis is all about and the reasons for the actions taken by government bodies. I have also learnt why the government, businesses and individuals act in the way they do and how decisions differ depending on circumstances.
"The tutors are fair, I find that they are always willing to help those willing to put the effort in and throughout my three years I have never felt as though I could not approach one of them. The resources have never let me down and the staff in the library are more than helpful, especially when it comes to dissertation research.
"Because of this course, I am more confident in my ability to fulfil a business role now than I was three years ago. I have gained skills and knowledge which will help me no end in the world of work. These are computer skills, communications skills, a depth of knowledge in economics and finance and the ability to research, critically analyse and evaluate. I have also socialised with students of all different nationalities and backgrounds which I would not of necessarily have done.
"My experience at NTU has influenced my future career path immensely. My eyes have been opened by my university experience to corporations all over the world. This has come from foreign lecturers and students, lecturers having done research across the globe and an awareness of the doors that can be opened with a degree.
"My plans for the future are not to shy away from any challenge and see what I can achieve.
"I believe you get out of the university experience what you put in and if you manage your time appropriately, not only do you achieve a qualification you have a fantastic time doing so."
