I chose NTU because of the highly-regarded reputation which Nottingham Law School has across the country. One of the key features that attracted me to my course was the ability to practice law while studying, through mooting and negotiation exercises. The opportunity to work for the NLS Legal was also very appealing.

In June 2016 I started working at NLS Legal. The Centre is the only law firm regulated by the SRA that operates within an academic institution, outside of London. Before starting my work experience in here, I could not have imagined what law would be like in real-life context. It is different from the case scenarios you work on during your course. At the Centre, real people with real problems ask for your help and you try your best to help them. I have learned a lot about legal research, importance of confidentiality, about how to interview clients over the phone and how to prepare the legal advice for them. I can say for sure that working at NLS Legal was one of the greatest life experience I have had so far and I really hope to continue to work there during the next academic year.

Since January 2015 I have been working as the Student Ambassador. I find this role very useful, as I get a lot of valuable experience, I meet many fantastic people and I am involved into the university's life.

You definitely will not regret choosing to study in here. NTU offers a lot to its students; the matter is whether or not you accept what NTU offers. Those who are keen to get the most out of their study will benefit massively from the professional and passionate members of staff, from the careers service, NLS Legal and the library.
