More about Kiren
The key features that attracted me to the course were the module options provided and the way the course is structured. The thing that stood out to me the most was the fact that NTU has a Legal Advice Centre within the Law School.
I have enjoyed the variety of modules on my course. My favourite modules were Equity and Trust and EU law. The lecturers made the subject really fun and interesting. All the staff really guided me and encouraged me until I finished my undergraduate degree before progressing onto the LLM BPTC.
The 24-hour access to the library really helped as I tend to study more efficiently in the library. The Students' Union is very close to the law building so it is really convenient, particularly when you need a break between classes. NOW (the online learning environment) is really useful and helps me organise my work. All of the lecture notes are available on NOW.
NTU has provided me with a platform to grow and offers lots of help for international students. I felt very welcome when I first started and the welcome week was amazing. There were lots of activities to participate in and lots of opportunities to make new friends. I really enjoy living in Nottingham, everything is near by and it's never too crowded.
In the future I hope to complete my BPTC and return back to Malaysia to practise as a qualified barrister. My advice would be to make the most of studying at NTU. Take part in the sports on offer, make new friends, have fun and always be up-to-date with your seminar work.
