"I am from Dhaka in Bangladesh, I first heard about Nottingham when my old school friend came to Nottingham and recommended the city to me. I initially attended New College Nottingham to study for a Foundation degree in Law and this enabled me to progress into the second year of the LLB at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). I am now at Nottingham Law School at NTU studying for my LLM. I chose to study in the UK as I think it is the best for law degrees. I chose NLS as it is one of the finest and most prestigious law schools in the UK.
"After my LLM I would like to study for a PhD in Law at NTU. Eventually I want to work for an international NGO such as Amnesty International, UN or Human Rights Watch.
"If I could meet one famous person in the UK it would be HRH Queen Elizabeth.
"I work part-time, making pizzas at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Nottingham for between 15-20 hours a week. I got the job by dropping off my CV and then having an interview. I think it is a good idea to work part-time whilst studying as it is a good opportunity to enhance your communication skills.
"I also have a voluntary job working at Nottingham Refugee Forum, where I advise refugees and asylum seekers about accommodation and social security benefits. This job is good as I have learned to work as a professional.
"One of the best things about the UK is the way in which everyone is so polite, saying 'please' and 'thank-you'. The worst thing is the unpredictable nature of the weather. Although I do love the snow, it is very peaceful."
