If you feel that NTU could be the place for you – get applying - you won't regret it!

More about Anisha

"I've always loved Mathematics, and was a bit torn on what subject to further at degree level. I liked the varied modules and the fact that mechanics wasn't a key part of the course!

"I would say my strengths lie with the pure side of maths, such as algebra; I have also enjoyed the numerical methods modules. During the course I have been able to develop my personal mathematical skills and can tackle more advanced problems with confidence. I have learnt more about working in a team with peers and how to ensure everyone has a similar level of understanding.

"I have had part time jobs throughout university life to gain more experience of the working world. Currently I work as a student mentor where I run a drop in session once a week and students can book appointments for a one to one session to focus on a particular area.

"My best moments are seeing the excitement in a student once they have been able to correctly answer a question they thought would never be possible.

"The advice I would give to anyone considering applying to NTU is to come and have a look around, meet the lecturers and admissions staff, have a chat with current students and figure out what you want to gain from your degree".
