After achieving my doctoral degree, I want to successfully pursue a career in the field of scientific research as a postdoctoral research fellow.
More about Divya
Having achieved a BSc in Genetic Engineering (SRM University, India), I joined the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre (JvGCRC) team in 2012 to take an MSc in Molecular Biology.
I really wanted to continue working in research within the JvGCRC team even though, at the time, no positions were available. Instead I was employed there as a technical assistant and then as a research assistant in JvGCRC on tumour immunology projects.
I was offered a PhD position at the University of Geneva, but took the decision to decline this as the projects on offer were not in my direct area of interest. Soon after, I was offered my PhD position at NTU (JvGCRC funded bursary) and was very happy to stay.
After achieving my doctoral degree, I want to successfully pursue a career in the field of scientific research as a postdoctoral research fellow.
