More about Krsna Das
I chose MSc Interactive Media Engineering as the course had everything I wanted to learn and explore. I was given the opportunities to use the latest technologies like the Oculus Rift to work on my coursework and dissertation. The timetable was well structured and gave me the freedom to go to university and work as well. I was awarded the International Scholarship which influenced my decision to study at NTU.
Studying at NTU was the best thing for me as the lecturers were very helpful and provided constant support for my academic development. After my thesis, my lecturer encouraged me to write a conference paper which was then accepted by the Computing Conference 2017 for publication.
Moreover, I was chosen for the NTU Graduate Internship Scheme. I worked as an International Social Media Officer in the IDO team for a one month internship. I was given the responsibility to develop a strategy on how to better communicate with the students through social media, develop an advertising campaign for Mauritius to encourage more students to pursue their studies at NTU, and posting pictures on social media. It has given me a stepping stone to an exciting future career and a valuable experience working in such a big organisation. I have learnt some very valuable practices such as communication, presentation and marketing skills.
For those who wish to be part of NTU, don’t hesitate on your choice. You will make a lot of lifetime friends and contacts. The NTU Global Lounge hosts events to celebrate the different cultural heritages of everyone, and provides opportunities for you to extend your international outlook and understanding.
