More about Sam
"The course offers an introduction to a wide range of topics within Mathematics. Areas include algebra, introducing abstract structures and mathematical proofs, statistics, examining data and statistical distributions and computational methods, which introduces software packages used for Mathematics.
"My final year dissertation was the best piece of work I have produced. I graduated with a First and was awarded a Mathematics prize during my studies. The course helped develop my problem solving skills, useful in industry, and gave good background in abstract mathematics, which I would like to pursue in the future.
"NTU has a wide range of experiences to offer, other than just the course. The academic staff are very helpful during teaching hours, in seminars, lectures and labs, and outside of teaching hours and the other students are good fun too.
"I am currently working at NTU as an hourly-paid lecturer. I plan to complete a PhD with the ultimate aim of teaching in a university, and possibly undertaking my own research."
