More about Alex

As a mature student, I graduated from NTU with a BA (first-class honours) in International Relations in 2008,
and was awarded the International Relations prize for highest overall grade.

I decided to stay at NTU because of the excellent department and staff, and I achieved a distinction in my
Masters studies, before embarking on my PhD.

I decided to undertake a PhD as a route after being inspired by my previous experiences at NTU.

My PhD project is provisionally entitled: A critical investigation of power and ideology at the Special Tribunal
for Lebanon
.

My ambitions include publication of my research and to enter academia as a lecturer and researcher. To
support these ambitions, I have had the opportunity to gain relevant work experience as an hourly paid
lecturer at NTU.

Director of Studies: Dr Imad El-Anis
