More about Catherine
"I didn't know much about Nottingham Trent University (NTU) before attending the open day. I was really impressed with the facilities and the friendliness of the staff and students. The Newton building is spectacular! Its modern facilities really made me want to come to NTU and the amount of open spaces there are available to do group work really pleased me.
"BA (Hons) Health and Social Care is a great course and the support you get whilst studying is fantastic! If you have any issues or concerns the lecturers are always happy to help you work through them.
"I enjoy my leadership and management module as it is not similar to anything I had previously studied. It also seems really relevant. I enjoyed studying the individual in society module in my first year as it allowed me to continue studying sociology whilst not having to do it as a degree choice.
"The course itself is really friendly with about 100 other students studying the same course as you - by the time you reach your second year you will know pretty much everyone in the course and it's great when you do group projects!
"The course is open to students of all ages and I see this as a real positive: the mature students on the course bring a level of life experience that someone of my age doesn't have as much of. Together we work together and support each other in our studies.
"The Students' Union is really good and the societies are fantastic! NTU has so many and it's a great opportunity to get involved, meet new people and maybe discover a hobby you had not known about before!"
