Gareth Mott's thesis, entitled The Hands Behind the Keyboard: A Critical Reflection on Imagery and the Securitisation of Cyberterrorism in the UK, offers an analysis of the British discourse surrounding a contemporary Tier One threat.
At present, Gareth is also writing an article that juxtaposes the securitisation of cyberterrorism with the official discourse surrounding mass online surveillance in the UK, specifically revolving around the novel concept of facelessness.
Gareth's primary research interests include critical security studies, critical terrorism studies and cyber-security.
