More about Joe
"I chose my course at Nottingham Trent University because the city, the University and NTU life in general seemed perfect for me.
"The thing I enjoy most about university life is the social side it. Making new friendships has been great and I am sure that they will be for life. I am also enjoying the research methods and tutorial aspects of the Psychology side of the BA (Hons) Psychology and Criminology course.
"The support from tutors and learning resources are great. Tutors have small groups of students and offer pastoral advice on university life if needed. The library among other resources is very useful. For example, the Boots library is open 24-hours a day which is always useful for last minute cramming!
"My experience at NTU has definitely influenced my future career plans. I arrived at university with no specific ideas on what I wanted to do but now I know. Getting involved in the Initi8 volunteering project really helped me realise that what I want to do is work for the Police and potentially use the psychology side of my degree to work up the ranks and run my own division. The Initi8 project is a partnership between NTU and the Students' Union to deliver a range of high quality volunteering opportunities for students. This is an example of one of the many things you can get involved in at NTU.
"My advice to new students is get involved! University could be the best time of your life so make the most of it!"
